床垫，床褥，沙发椅和床架耐燃性的标准

修订于2008年3月31日的BS 7117:2008将替代BS 7117:1996于2008年1月31日起正式生效执行。

除了在BS EN 597-1:1995，BS EN 597-2:1995和BS 6807:2006中规定的床垫检测方法外，本标准还增加了对填充物的检测要求。包括在床褥中使用的填充物。同时还要通过英国家具（防火及安全）1998中规定的对填充物的检测。

本标准还对检测频率做出了规定，如下：
1.
如果每月的产出量大于2400件，那么需每月检测一件。
2.
如果每月的产出量在400件和2400件之间，那么每2400件中检测一件。
3.
如果每月的产出量少于400件，那么每6个月检测一件。

每一件床垫，床褥，沙发椅和床架均应加贴印有制造商的一致性声明，包括清晰的文字和图标。

BS 7177:2008 Incorporating Corrigendum No. 1

Specification for Resistance to Ignition of Mattresses, Mattress Pads,

Divans and Bed Bases

Effective from 31 January 2008 and amended on 31 March 2008, BS 7177:2008 supersedes BS 7177:1996and becomes the current standard for mattresses, mattress pads, divans and bed bases in the different hazard categories.

Apart from the mattress test methods given in BS EN 597-1:1995, BS EN 597-2:1995 and BS 6807: 2006, the principal change this standard is the additional test requirement for all filling materials. This includes those used in mattress pads, which shall also pass the test methods given in the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire)(Safety) 1988 in respect of filling materials.

Frequency of Testing

This British Standard also provides guideline for frequency of testing as follow:

1. If the number of units produced is over 2,400 per month, one unit shall be tested per month.

2. If the number of units produced is between 400 and 2400 units per month, one unit shall be tested for every 2,400 units.

3. If the number of units produced is less than 400 per month, one unit shall be tested every 6 months. Note that retesting shall be carried out upon any major basic alteration to a specification.

Labeling

Each mattress, upholstered mattress pad, divan or bed base shall attach a clearly readable permanent label with appropriate wordings and markings to represent the manufacturer’s declaration of conformity.
