BS 5852:2006 - Methods of Test for Assessment of the Ignitability of Upholstered Seating by Smouldering and Flaming Ignition Sources

/ z& O6 u7 e3 }, J  T; |Effective from 31 March, 2006, BS 5852:2006 supersedes BS 5852:1990 [1] and become the latest available standard to measure the ignitability of upholstered furniture composites and/or complete pieces of furniture. This is a full revision of the standard which principal changes are to update references, to bring the standard into line with BS6807 [2] and BS EN 1021 [3], and to incorporate the existing amendments.

Upholstered furniture and beds for use in hotels and other contract situations must also meet the regulations with higher requirement.
