前段时间CNAS认证，提到灰卡的期间核查，现抛砖引玉，与大家分享。
若有更好的方法，希望大家不吝赐教。

Grey Scale Verification

Procedure for checking grey scales

For control grey scale

* The control scales must be stored in the dark and vacuum container.

1.
Once received, the colour difference at grey 4 will be measured by spectrophotometer as initial difference value.
2.
After 1 year of storage, the colour difference at grey 4 will be re-measured by spectrophotometer as checked value difference.
3.
If the difference between initial and checked values is less than 0.25, the service period can be extended for 1 more year until to the upper limit of 3 years.

For working grey scale

* When the scale not in used, they must be kept in the dark cabinet.

1.
One converting from control to working grey scale or newly received from purchasing, the colour difference at grey 4 will be measured by spectrophotometer as initial difference value.
2.
After 6 months of service, the colour difference of working was visually compared against the control.
If there is visual difference such as colour difference or staining or marking, then dispose and change the new working grey scale;
3.
If no visual difference, the spectrophotometer grey value (A05) for grey scale 4 of working grey scale is compared against the spectrophotometer grey value for grey 4 of control grey scale at setting of D65 light, 10 deg observer.
If the difference less than 0.25, the service period of working scale can be extended for 6 more months until the upper limit of 2 years.
