新型复合聚酯弹性纤维T-400织物克服了氨纶弹力织物的缺点，不仅具有很好的弹性和尺寸稳定性，穿着舒适，易打理，而且加工过程比较容易控制，不像莱卡织物那样易形成卷边和折皱。染色后整理也比氨纶织物简单，成本低，成衣整理可以绣花，可以破洞。用T-400纤维制成的服装耐洗涤，有良好的尺寸稳定性，经向收缩率不超过3.3%，纬向收缩率不超过2.5%。
T-400聚酯纤维结构及其性能特征：
2 O# W7 k' A3 N# P! J+ T0 fT-400纤维由两种不同的聚酯纤维PET和PTT并列复合纺丝而成。由于两种聚酯纤维的收缩率不同，该纱线可以产生弹簧状的立体卷曲，类似羊毛的结构，而且这种卷曲在经过热处理之后仍然存在，使织物具有蓬松柔软的手感和优良的弹性。
特点：
' w6 P1 ?8 R6 X$ g9 v! v1）        优良的弹性回复性。其弹性回复性优于PBT、3GT及其他变形纱。织造时坏布已具有弹性，经后整理后成品具有特殊的手感及悬垂性。与棉交织可提高棉织物的抗皱、免烫性能，并赋予织物柔软的手感。
2）        易护理。可水洗，抗褶，褶能保持褶裥。
5 L+ ~8 X8 q) V3）        平滑的外观。T-400纤维织物具有类似产品PET、PBT等织物皆无法达到的布面平整度。
4）        可与涤纶兼容。能耐高温且不损伤其弹力，可与需高温染色的聚酯纱线搭配，使成品织物有优良的恢复力和稳定的收缩率。
5）        化学稳定性好，染色性能好。耐洗涤、漂白、石磨洗、紫外线照射、耐氯。
原料选用：
( ^1 G( I; B/ V% c+ E0 m+ OT-400原料有两种：一种是裸丝，一种是棉包T-400包芯纱。选用T-400裸丝做纬纱，由于其表面光滑，织成的织物经后整理后，经纱不稳定，易滑移。为了克服这一缺陷，一般要加大纬密，这会导致面料手感硬挺、厚重，板结，棉的风格减少；由于纬密加大，纯T-400用量会增加而导致面料价格偏高。
采用棉/T-400束丝的包芯纱，织造时不会产生滑移现象，织物密度可大可小，且具有15%至20%的微弹，弹性适当，穿着舒适。

T400是英威达公司的弹性涤纶纤维，是由两种热收缩率不同的涤纶抽出同一根纤维所达到的，因此T400纤维外观呈卷曲状，它与氨纶类弹性纤维不同，它的弹性非常有限，属于低弹类！
